Overview

Monster Maker Kids: Ousama ni Naritai ("I Wanna Be King!") is a board game adaptation of the Monster Maker (Franchise) series. The takes a party of super-deformed heroes through a board, rolling dice and fighting monsters. The player is given a goal when they begin and must make their way towards completing it. There is often another party of adventurers working against the player to complete the same goal. The game also includes a card-based interface for the combat. The series began on the Game Boy as two RPGs that heavily used cards, though the third game (and the only other Monster Maker game for the Super Famicom) scaled this aspect back.
