A handheld monster-battling RPG based on the collectible card game Magi-Nation Duel.

Overview

Magi-Nation is a fantasy monster-battling RPG developed and published by Interactive Imagination (Company) for the Game Boy Color (Platform) exclusively in North America on March 2001. Based on the real-life collectible card game Magi-Nation Duel (which is also published by Interactive Imagination), Magi-Nation puts players as modern-day teenager Tony Jones (Character), who is whisked into a fantasy world and must use the power of Dream Creatures to stop an army of Dark Magi and return home. It later received a Japanese-exclusive conversion for the Game Boy Advance (Platform), ported by Matahari Studios (Company) and published by Epoch on December 12, 2002. This version features a reworked protagonist (Dan). Some spin-offs and sequels were in development for both the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance, but were scrapped during development. One of these games, Magi-Nation: Keeper's Quest, later had a leaked prototype.
