Overview

Jun Maeda (Person)'s first new game as Main Scenario Writer since the 2007 title Little Busters! Heaven Burns Red was originally released in Japan on February 10, 2022, for mobile devices, with a PC version following August 10 of that same year. Yostar published the game for worldwide release on November 15, 2024. In Heaven Burns Red, the player controls Ruka Kayamori, the vocalist and lead guitarist of the now-disbanded rock group "She Is Legend." The player must balance Ruka's time at the military academy where most of the non-battle gameplay is set, and the wide cast of Seraph Corps collected to fight the alien enemies, known as "Cancer," with their unique Seraph weapons. The player can add anyone from the Academy's fighters to their roster, with a warning in some chapters about which party members might break immersion with the story that the player can choose to abide or ignore. However, each unit can have "Memoria" of multiple different rarities to draw from. The same unit cannot have two memoria in the party.
