Overview

Eight Ball Deluxe is a pool-themed pinball machine designed and released by Bally in April 1981. It is a successor to the 1977 machine Eight Ball (Game) and was officially and digitally recreated twice, once for computers in 1990 (see below) and once for the 2010's pinball collection The Pinball Arcade (Game).

PC/Mac Recreation

It received an official digital re-creation, developed by both P.A.S. Systems (PC version) and LittleWing (Mac version) and published by Amtex Software Corporation for DOS PCs and Macintosh computers in 1993. These versions focus on authentically recreating the machine, with the ability to alter the machine's pitch and light voltage, and includes some bonus features (such as the PC version having multiple video size options and allowing players to control the pinball with the mouse like a magnet). Like Amtex's earlier pinball game Tristan, the game's retail release featured a real-life flipper included. The PC version hinted at a recreation of the 1990 machine Funhouse (Game), but this was never released.
