Overview
Disney/Pixar Monsters, Inc. is the name of three different platformers from Disney Interactive (Company):
- A 2D side-scrolling platformer for the Game Boy Color (Platform), developed by Vicarious Visions and published by THQ (Company) in North America on October 19, 2001, with a European release on February 2002.
- A 2D belt-scrolling platformer for the Game Boy Advance (Platform), developed by Natsume (Company) and published by THQ in North America on October 25, 2001, with a European release on February 2002 and a Japanese release (by Tomy (Company)) on March 2002.
- A 3D platformer for the PlayStation 2 (Platform), developed by Artificial Mind and Movement and published by SCEA exclusively in North America on March 19, 2002. The game includes bonus DVD-ROM features, including a "Makings of" featurette of the movie. The game later received a digital PlayStation Network (Concept) release for supported consoles (as a PS2 Classics (Concept) release) on October 7, 2014.
All three are adaptations of, and tie-ins to, the CGI-animated comedy film Monsters, Inc., which involve monster "scarers" Sulley (Character) and Mike trying to return a young toddler back to the human world while avoiding the Child Detection Agency.
