A re-imagining of Atari's arcade block-breaking classic with 3D graphics and new ways to play.

Overview

Breakout, not to be confused with the original 1976 game of the same name, is a block-breaking game developed by Supersonic Software and published by Atari and Hasbro Interactive for the PlayStation (Platform) on September 22, 2000, with a PC (Platform) and Mac (Platform) release soon after. A re-imagining of the original 1976 game of the same name, and developed by the studio behind Pong: The Next Level, Breakout brings the series to 3D with a variety of new challenges and mini-games, along with one-on-one multiplayer, a dynamic difficulty mechanic, and the ability to tilt the paddle for more angled shots. The game's main story puts players in the role of Bouncer, a sentient red paddle who must set out to rescue his friends from the evil Batnix.
