Universal Chain Combo
While many fighting games feature character-specific chains, a Universal Chain Combo is a combo that allows essentially every character in a given game to cancel their weaker basic attacks into their stronger ones.

Goes by the name "Revolver Action" in BlazBlue (Franchise) fighting games, in which it allows players to link their assigned attack buttons from A->B->C->D as the moves are cancelled in ascending order. This is the case even when a player starts with the B or C button instead. This is a mechanic implemented to make learning a fighting game approachable by making some combo routes among very different characters more clear. In some cases, this can only be performed if the attacks hit rather than hit a block, this is to avoid players abusing block-strings.
