Modern games can get pretty heavy on the story with many characters and plot points that the player must keep track of in order to enjoy the experience. As such, numerous games employ features to help recap and summarize story events up to the current point as helpful reminders to the player. These recaps be delivered in a variety of ways. For example, some games feature data logs or encyclopedias that that can be read at the player's leisure. Other games may feature a text or video recap of recent story events when resuming play at the start of a game session.
