CONCEPT

A process or magical spell that removes mana from a target, aiming to disable the targets use of magical spells or other abilities that use mana.

Mana Drain is usually classified as a defensive spell, used to drain an enemies mana so they are unable to cast spells or use abilties that require mana. There are also versions of Mana Drain that damage the target (often based on the amount of mana drained), these are usually classified as offensive spells and often have more attacking sounding names like Mana Leech or Mana Burn.
