PopTop Software was an American developer founded in 1993 and based out of St. Louis, Missouri who specialized in the strategy games genre.  The studio was purchased by Take-Two Interactive in 2000 and was shut down in 2006 after the PopTop team was moved and consolidated with the Firaxis Games (Company) studio headed by Sid Meier (Person).
