Luxoflux Corp. was founded in January 1997 by Peter Morawiec (Person) and Adrian Stephens (Person). The company was originally going to be called Alpha Channel but that name was taken at the time so it was named Luxoflux.They are known for developing the first two games in the True Crime (Franchise) series, Vigilante 8 (Franchise), as well as Pitfall 3D. They were bought by Activision (Company) in October 2002.

On February 11, 2010, Activision closed the studio.
