Exact (EXcellent Application Create Team) was a Japanese development studio established in 1990.

The studio was founded by Hiroyuki Saegusa (Person), Kazuki Toyota, Toshimitsu Ōdaira, and Hiroshi Yamamoto. The company produced a number of action games for the Sharp X68000 (Platform), the last of which, Geograph Seal, would be reworked into their first PlayStationtitle, Jumping Flash! (Game). Exact continued to work with Sonythrough the late '90s, producing a number of first-party PlayStation titles. The team would eventually become part of Sony studio Sugar andamp;amp;amp; Rockets around 1998, which was then subsequently merged into SCEI in 2000.

Geograph Seal (Game)
Exact's Geograph Seal, released for the Sharp X68000 computer in 1994, is a precursor to Jumping Flash! Rendered in 3D polygons, it was the earliest first-person shooter with platforming mechanics. It also allowed the player to aim the weapon, and took place in free-roaming outdoor environments rather than the corridor labyrinths of contemporary FPS games like Doom.
