Arguably the smartest Sinner (next to Faust), Yi Sang reportedly grew up in S Corp and formed the League of Nine Littérateurs with likeminded friends and colleagues who wanted to show off their new inventions. However, his invention of special Mirror technology that allowed him to peer into alternate realities somehow caught the attention of T Corp's agents, who either caved in and registered themselves with T Corp, fled to other Wings, or vanished without a trace. His colleague, Gubo, saved him and took him to N Corp, but Yi Sang was essentially a prisoner there under his "protection," until one day he found a way to escape and joined Faust and Limbus Company.

However, it isn't long when the ghosts of Yi Sang's past threaten not just himself, but Limbus Company, and potentially the entire City. Gubo has joined under Hermann and others as the "New League of Nine Littérateurs," making use of EGO salvaged from the ruins of Lobotomy Corporation and other techniques acquired through a copy of the Mirror, seeking the Golden Boughs and other powerful technology for their own agenda. Yi Sang briefly reunited with his old colleagues Dongrang and Dongbaek in K Corp's Nest, but with one a K Corp researcher who maintains their Singularity, and the other a terrorist looking to bring them down with their own technology. Yi Sang found himself forced to fight both and come to terms with his own sense of loss, and find his own purpose for living again.

Blade Lineage Salsu - Despite being a high-ranking member of this Syndicate, Yi Sang prefers brooding by himself. However, when he does fight, he is an exceptional and somewhat brutal swordsman. This ID wields a single-edged sword with only Slash attacks, and gives himself Poise after each attack.
Seven South Section 6 - A mostly quiet field agent for the Seven Association, but is willing to give his colleagues advice on swordsmanship. This ID deals Pierce and some Blunt damage, along with Rupture status. S2 can add Fragile and Paralyze status, and S3 can add Pierce Fragility to hit enemies.
Effloresced E.G.O::Spicebush - From a Mirror World where Yi Sang takes the role of Dongbaek, he wields this EGO, a set of white robes wreathed in fragrant yellow flowers. His attacks deal Pierce or Blunt damage, along with applying Tremor and Sinking debuffs on hit.
Molar Office Fixer - From a Mirror World where Yi Sang takes the role of Rain from Library of Ruina. Similar to Dieci Fixers, he can Discard unused skills to make his next attack more powerful. Molar Office Yi Sang attacks with Pierce or Blunt damage, applying or bursting Tremor debuffs with each skill.
W Corp. L3 Cleanup Agent - An overworked Fixer for W Corp. This Yi Sang attacks with Slash or Pierce damage. Like most other W Corp IDs, he can Charge himself up to make his S3 more powerful, and inflict Rupture debuffs on enemies.
The Pequod First Mate - From a Mirror World where he takes the role of Starbuck aboard the Pequod. All his attacks inflict Pierce damage and Bleed debuffs, while building Poise for himself.

Yi Sang is a direct reference to the pen name and sobriquet of 20th century Korean poet, novelist and essayist, Kim Hae-Gyeong. His portrayal in Limbus Company takes inspiration from his book The Wings, as well as parts of the real Yi Sang's life.
