The First Colossus is the first enemy fought by Wander (Character) in Shadow of the Colossus (Game). Like the game's other Colossi, it is a large golem that appears to be at least partially constructed from stone. This Colossus resembles a gigantic minotaur wielding a short club. The path towards the First Colossus from the Shrine of Worship (Location) is among the most straightforward in the game, although it does involve light platforming that prevents Agro (Character), Wander's faithful mount, from participating in the battle.
Because this Colossus functions as the game's initial encounter, it is relatively simple to defeat and involves very little puzzle-solving. It serves as more of an introduction to the game's grip mechanic and methodology for locating a Colossus' weak points.
