The main protagonist of the first 3 "question arcs" of the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni games. When in need of a weapon he uses an old baseball bat.

Keiichi is a Japanese student, how is highly intelligent, however was picked on quite a bit before leaving the city, to come to Hinamizawa (Location). Once he arrived, he quickly made friends with Rena, Mion, Rikaand Satoko. During the Onikakushi-hen arc, Keiichi is driven insane with paranoia, and eventually carries Satoko's deceased brother, Satoshi's baseball bat with him everywhere, dissascociating himself from his friends and practicing swinging. He later learns that Satoshi acted similarly to him shortly before his death.
