Overview

Gestahl is the emperor of the Empire in Final Fantasy VI (Game). He rules with an iron fist, using military might and his top three generals, Celes, Leo, and Kefka (Character), to impose his will on those that defy him. Under his reign, the Empire developed Magitek; machines with the magical energy of espers infused into them. However, his plans to rule the world through the power of the espers are cut short by Kefka's betrayal.
