Overivew

Blaze Fielding, along with Axel Stone (Character), is one of the main protagonists in the Streets of Rage (Franchise) franchise for the Sega Genesis (Object). She is a playable character in all four games, since the first Streets of Rage (Game). Blaze is a well-rounded fighter, possessing average speed, strength, and special attack power. This makes her somewhat unique in the side-scrolling beat 'em up genre, as she is one of the few female protagonists who is not the physically weakest of all playable characters. Blaze's moves are martial arts-based. She can perform leg sweeps, flying jump kicks, and karate chops. She does very good damage from her grab attacks, as she is a judo expert. From a hold, she can slam enemies into the ground, suplex them from behind, or fling them into other bad guys. In Streets of Rage 2 (Game) and Streets of Rage 3 (Game), her "semi-special" attack is a front flip, followed by a downward karate chop that causes her hands to glow blue. Her special attacks are a backflip kick that hits enemies before and behind her, as well as a short-range fireball that does a good amount of damage to anyone in front of her. In Streets of Rage 2 and 3, Blaze also has the best knife attack in the game. Instead of simply stabbing in front of her, she first performs a quick slash, then a stab. In Streets of Rage 3, she can perform a dashing uppercut slash or a 360-degree slash with the knife.
