Bender is a futuristic robot from the TV show Futurama and is voiced by John DiMaggio (Person). Bender was created as a bending unit, designed to bend steel girders with his bare hands. He runs on alcohol and smokes because it "makes him look cool." He is very rude and often makes fun of others around him, even close friends. He is also a convicted felon and often commits more crimes without remorse.

He met his best friend, Philip J. Fry, in line for a suicide booth. Now Bender works at Planet Express with Fry and their captain, Leela. He has been in 2 games, starring in Futurama (Game) and making a cameo in' ' 'The Simpsons Game.   Matt Groening (Person) crated the name Bender as an homage to the character of John Bender from the movie The Breakfast Club. In the game Contra 4 (Game),Bender's full name appears in the Special Thanks section of the credits.
