Agnes Tachyon is the main antagonist in the Umamusume film Beginning of a New Era, acting as the foil to Jungle Pocket (Character), who tries (and fails) to reach up to her. After winning the Satsuki Sho, Agnes Tachyon simply ends her racing career, forcing Jungle Pocket to reconsider her reason for racing as her main rival is now a specter whom she can't defeat.

The real-life Agnes Tachyon is nicknamed "The Phantom Triple Crown" for his explosive yet brief racing career. He only appeared in four races, including the first leg of the Triple Crown, Satsuki Sho at Nakayama Racecourse in April 2001, and won all of them. However, the following month, Agnes Tachyon was diagnosed with flexor tendonitis, and would never race again, leading many to speculate that if not for the career-ending injury, Agnes Tachyon would have won the Triple Crown. Instead, Agnes Tachyon was sent to the stud farm, being used to sire thousands of horses, including around 240 active JRA racehorses (as of 2022).
