The son of Tony Soprano. His full name is Anthony John Soprano Jr.

A.J. Soprano is a main character in The Sopranos television series. He is the youngest child of Tony and Carmela Soprano (née DeAngelis). A.J. gets in touble several times early on in the show: He steals communion wine from a local church, drives his mother's car without permission, smokes weed at his confirmation and vandalizes his school's swimming pool. In contrast to the way he views his daughter, Tony often expresses frustration at his son's troublemaking and lack of ambition. After A.J. is expelled from high school, Tony plans to send his son to military school in spite of Carmela's objections. When A.J. puts on his military uniform, he passes out in front of his parents, who realize that he suffers from the same panic attacks that afflict Tony. With permission from his mother, A.J. goes out to attend a Mudvayne concert in New York on the condition that he stays at his sister Meadow's apartment that night. A.J. informs Meadow that he won't be coming over to the apartment and she reluctantly agrees to cover for him. A.J. and his friends stay at a hotel, getting drunk and high during the night. The following morning, A.J. wakes up with his face glued to the carpet, his eyebrows shaved off and drawn with permanent marker. Later on, A.J. creates a cover story that he only drank a few beers and Tony is willing to accept it. Carmela blames herself and decides that A.J. should live with Tony. In Season 6, A.J. gets a job at Blockbuster but is later fired for stealing and selling promotional material to the anger of his parents. After several days of unsuccessfully looking for another job online, Tony offers his son to work in construction but because of A.J.'s attitude to the idea, Tony smashes his car windshield. When A.J. starts working at the construction site, he meets Bianca. Portrayed by Robert Iler.
