Dust: An Elysian Tail

I finally got around to playing this game. The game is a Metroidvania style game in that you need to acquire upgrades to be able to access all of the areas in the earlier zones. The game plays like a side scrolling action game where you have a melee weapon with a few combos and various magic abilities. I thought combat controlled well and my only issue was the difficulty of the final zone seemed to shoot up compared to the previous ones even after getting much better gear. I thought the game's art style was great to look at and provided a nice variety of zones to explore. The story was pretty good even if the amnesia story is a little cliche. The sound and music in the game were great but the voice acting could have been better. Overall I had a lot of fun with the game (completed almost everything within 3 days of starting) and anyone who enjoys action games should check this one out.
