Persona 3 FES Endurance Run (Part 14)

I have fallen in love with Persona 3's music. I have been listening to the multiple soundtracks non-stop. I just wanted to say that; I don't really have much more to say about the music, other than that it's good. I have fallen in love with Persona 3's music. I have been listening to the multiple soundtracks non-stop. I just wanted to say that; I don't really have much more to say about the music, other than that it's good. Anyways, today we had a mystical third ER-er so not only did we not get much done, but we realized that explaining it to someone else made our ER seem kind of sad. Our friend is familiar with the Giant Bomb Endurance Run (you should be too) but we had to tell him that playing the game is a lot more difficult than watching it. Especially since the menus in this game are pretty bad. The rest is good though! Good enough for us to now have played 48 hours of it!
Today was mostly a day of grinding, which made me sad. Grinding in this game is not particularly fun, and it's especially depressing when you realize that even that hour spent fighting didn't make you good enough to beat the boss. What we realized today is that it's not about leveling up, it's about using strategy to figure how to exploit the bosses. Unfortunately, we remembered that after dying on the boss about four times, and spending an hour grinding. Anyways, S. Links!
We managed to get to Rank 8 with Yukari, which means "things are pretty serious now". She called us at night once to ask if we wanted to hang out later, and she was wearing sexy nightwear for no apparent reason. The game didn't seem to notice, but I seriously thought we were getting a booty call. That didn't stop us from hanging out with shy-girl as well though, and apparently she's still shy! She's getting better though! We aced the mid-terms, which I thought meant that we could hang out with Mitsuru, but we couldn't find her anywhere in school. To be honest, we didn't really look that hard though. It wasn't really an S. Linking day today, which makes me sad.
As I mentioned before, we were trying to fight a really hard boss most of the time. Well, it turns out it wasn't that hard at all! It's also only the mid-boss of this block! Anyways, we tried to brute force it at first, but then we decided to look in our compendium for someone who was null to the type of attack it used. Then, we switched Yukari to Mitsuru, which turned out to be an amazing decision for reasons we didn't fully understand at the time. We only did it because Yukari was weak to lightning, and Mitsuru wasn't. But, as it turns out, these bosses happened to be really susceptible to Marin Karin, the spell Mitsuru uses all the fucking time. This is the second time in the whole game it's actually been useful, which is really funny considering how often she uses it. Anyways, charming really helps because the enemies attack eachother, and we managed to beat the boss really easily. Ken died at the very beginning of the fight, but we decided not to revive him because he wasn't really doing anything. Contrary to most games, a lot of the time it's easier in this game to beat a boss with less people than with more. It's just less people to heal after every turn.
Speaking of people, it turns out that the Persona evolutions in this game don't work the same way as Persona 4. In Persona 4, a party member's persona would evolve once you reached Rank 10 with them. In this game, it seems to happen based on story events, which is kind of annoying, because out of the three people who have evolved so far, we only use one in battle consistently. So, the reason I brought that up, is because Fuuka evolved today. I'm now going to talk about things that happened earlier in the ER, but I didn't write about, because I was an idiot back then. I didn't start writing these in this structure until I was about 5-10 hours into the game, which meant I completely skipped this bit. Well, Fuuka got trapped in the school, by two school bitches, and by finding her stuck in Tartarus (Tartarus is the school, remember) we found out she had a Persona. Then, she decided to befriend the girl who had locked her in a gymnasium, and they soon became really good friends. Which is really stupid. Anyways, that girl is now leaving, and Fuuka got really sad and evolved. It's actually not that exciting.
Anyways, while I'm talking about things I forgot happened, what the hell is going on with that revenge website? One month, they were going on about how you could put people's names on a website to get murdered, and now apparently everyone has forgotten about that. This game seems to start things one month, and then completely forget about them. I had completely forgot about people turning into coffins at midnight, and that's supposed to be a major part of the game! Also, we barely know anything about Apathy Syndrome! Every once in a while, someone will say something about how there are less victims now, but that's not enough information when this is supposed to be the reason we're doing this whole thing! We never see anyone get better, there's been people lying around the city moaning since the very beginning of the game, and they never seem to change! Also, what the hell happened to Chidori!? Everything was about her two months ago, and then everybody except Junpei seems to have forgot she's still in the hospital! And what the hell's going on with Shinji and his pills!? Oh wait, he's dead.
As I mentioned before, we have now played over two days of this game. I have a lot of trouble concluding these; I never really know what to say. Um, this game is good! I like to play it and Levi enjoys watching me play it. Goodbye until next time!
