Games I Have Played This Week (and My Opinions on Them)

I haven't repeated this feature in a while, because to be honest, most of the things I play I end up writing about anyway. But, I've been starting some games recently, but not playing long enough for an update each. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

I don't own the first Prime, so when I felt like I should play those games since everyone thinks they're so good, this was my only option. And yes, it is good. It's not amazing so far but I guess they're saving it. I'm only about two hours in so far, so I guess I shouldn't be too judgmental so far. It's a lot different from any FPS I've ever played, having controls more similar to Goldeneye than anything else. It's controls take some getting used to. The one thing that came to me instantly was the pressing the left trigger to lock on. It's kind of like using it to zoom in in all other FPSs, so that's a thing.

Transformers: War For Cybertron

This is a game I've wanted to write about, but I really have nothing to say. I think the single-player is tedious and dull, but the multiplayer is oddly satisfying. I don't play it as much as Bad Company 2 but occasionally I'll throw this in. It's mad janky, and doesn't feel quite right most of the time, but getting a kill can be really satisfying. I want to write a review, but I haven't finished it, and I probably never will.

Fallout 3

I have a history of trying to play this game, and then failing. I am a pansy, which prevents me from getting very far most of the time. I really like a lot of the things this game does, but the shooting is just not fun. I like everything else about this game. If only I didn't have to shoot things, I could put 100 hours into this game like some others. It's sad, really.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

I popped this game in when I was bored, because I remember loving it last year. Maybe it's just me, but the combat feels so automatic it's weird. Maybe it's because I have been playing Spiderman: Web of Shadows before it, but the way Batman glides across the floor at the tap of a button just doesn't feel as satisfying as it did last year. Then again, I'm only like an hour in so far.

Also:

Spiderman: Web of Shadows
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero
Persona 3 FES

I have started a couple of games this week, so I guess I should probably finish one of them. It'll probably end up being Metroid Prime 2, because it's the one I haven't played before. That's my week! Enjoy, if you enjoy this kind of thing.
