New Steam UI. Do i really care?

So today I got around to switching my Steam Ui to the new one.  
 
first thing that dtruck me is that it's really pretty, and pretty cool. But the gameslist is too much crammed into the left of the screen, and while I love stats and info I don't really care how many friends owns the same games as me, especially not single player games.  
 
The new sounds are also a bit weird.
