Small Talk: PAX East 2010 - Day 1

Had a great first day at PAX East ! There's so much left to see and do and the first day is already over. Most of my day was eaten up by panels: PAX Keynote with Wil Wheaton @ 3pm Penny Arcade Panel #1 with Mike and Jerry @ 4pm Transversing the Twitterverse with Major Nelson, Robert Bowling and Mckenzie Eakin @ 7:00pm Get Lamp screening and panel with Jason Scott @ 9:30pm Between the Twitterver...

Had a great first day at PAX East!  There's so much left to see and do and the first day is already over.  Most of my day was eaten up by panels: 

  • PAX Keynote with Wil Wheaton @ 3pm
  • Penny Arcade Panel #1 with Mike and Jerry @ 4pm
  • Transversing the Twitterverse with Major Nelson, Robert Bowling and Mckenzie Eakin @ 7:00pm
  • Get Lamp screening and panel with Jason Scott @ 9:30pm
 
Between the Twitterverse panel and the Get Lamp screening, I ran into Justin McElroy, Chris Grant, Ludwig Kietzmann from the Joystiq Podcast as well as East Coast Joystiq editor Andrew Yoon and introduced myself to all.  Andrew Yoon offered me VIP access to take a look at Mafia II at the 2K both tomorrow, so I'll definitely be going to that.  As a long time listener of the Joystiq podcast, that was VERY exciting.
 
I hope to get out on the show floor a bit more tomorrow and check out Crackdown 2, Max Payne 3, Metroid: Other M, Super Meat Boy, Natal and some Boston-based indie games, but I also want to go to some more panels.  I'll give some impressions once the weekend is over, since I won't have time to update much at night.  Time for 5 hours of sleep, then back to PAX!
