Imagine my confusion: I see an ad for Brink, a new FPS that takes place on a floating city with class struggle as the central theme, and right after I make my joke in the comments it occurs to me that this sounds A LOT like a game I contributed a bit of content for on this very site. I see an ad for Brink, a new FPS that takes place on a floating city with class struggle as the central theme, and right after I make my joke in the comments it occurs to me that this sounds A LOT like a game I contributed a bit of content for on this very site.  I was amazed to learn that they seemed to only have dudes now, when the game I remember reading about had a chick in the central role.  That game, as far as I could remember, took place on a floating city, with class struggle as the central theme.

Imagine my surprise, then, when I figure out that there are two 2010 release, class-struggle-barge-shooters coming out: Brink and Hydrophobia.

Not sure if Hydrophobia will make the release this year, but it looks to be more interesting so I'll probably focus my attention on its development.  They seem to be updating their twitter (sigh) page regularly enough, but they're also recruiting for new programmers, which suggests they still have a ways to go.

Hey, as long as the games industry doesn't completely collapse (and force us to go all road-warrior on each other for batteries to power our wireless controllers) I'm fine with it.
