Where did all of the Street Racing games go?

Lately I've been wondering about this.

I've been disappointed with the NFS franchise since 2011 and there's no other driving games that satisfies my need for (speed) street racing, car culture and police chases. The Forza Horizon series is great but it doesn't have the vibe that I want and Slightly Mad Studios have presumably announced a Fast and a Furious video game but not much information hasn't come out since then.

I don't know. I don't know who's going to save me from the lack of street racing games. Can someone save me? Anyone? Anybody? I don't have a high-end PC and I don't want to go through the hassle of buying old video game consoles to play older games. Please help me!
