Deky's Favorite Wrestlers of 2024

1. Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green (your current longest reigning WWE Women's United States Champion) is one of the MVPs of 2024. She steals every segment she's in. That old wrestling cliche "maximize your minutes" is something she's nearly perfected at this point.

2. Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley is a god damned megastar through and through. She is one of the most engaging female wrestlers on the planet, second only to maybe Becky Lynch. In recent years, Rhea has steadily climbed to the top and has never looked back. There are a handful of wrestlers that can make an arena full of fans explode simply by walking out, and Rhea Ripley is one of them.

3. Cody Rhodes

The type of clean cut smiling baby kissing hand shaking picture taking face of the company that Cody is shouldn't be possible in today's overtly sarcastic inside baseball wrestling environment. But the reason what he's doing is still possible is because he believes every word he says. He's corny, he's a dork, he's the ultimate babyface, something at this point we've trained ourselves to scoff at. And yet, Cody Rhodes is the guy. His conviction is so infectious that it has wrapped around full circle and has made it undeniable that he is THE GUY. Only the child of Dusty Rhodes could be nearly as beloved as Dusty himself.

4. Jacob Fatu

The Samoan Werewolf, The Bloodline Assassin. Jacob Fatu is probably the most believable wrestler in the world right now. A freak athlete and one of those rare wrestlers who doesn't need to say much because his presence alone says 1000 words. Acrobatic, powerful, unstoppable. Jacob Fatu is a demon.

5. Samoa Joe

Much like Chelsea Green, Samoa Joe tends to be the MVP of any situation he's put in. I've been watching this beast since I was a child with my eyes glued to TNA Impact. Samoa Joe is one of the most underutilized wrestlers of the 21st century. But when he is given time to shine, he outshines everyone.

6. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens' off the deep end fourth wall breaking persona as of late has been incredible to watch. It's up there with Self Aware John Cena as one of the best gimmicks of the modern era. KO always stands by his word, and that tends to get him into insane situations. He's another one of those athletic powerhouses that can fit in any mold you put him in.

7. Sami Zayn

The honorary uce continues to be the easiest wrestler to root for. Always the underdog, he never backs down and is notably one of the few people that Gunther has lost to. There's an energy to Sami that you always want to root for, you always want him to win, even in the most impossible situations Sami can make you believe he might have a chance. I have a feeling 2025 could be the Year of Sami Zayn.

8. GUNTHER

Gunther is arguably the best wrestler in the world right now. Even within WWE's more limited style I can't think of anyone anywhere that is better. Gunther is another one like Jacob Fatu that has immense believability. A Gunther match ends when Gunther wants it to. There's an old school territory shine about Gunther that makes him stand out amongst the sea of gymnasts in the current wrestling landscape. Gunther is the best and he knows it.

9. "Hangman" Adam Page

Hangman just gets it in a way that a lot of his generation of wrestlers doesn't. He has Roman Reigns level potential and I hope one day that he can reach it. As someone that could never get into him at all just a few years ago, I've now become one of his loudest supporters. Under the right circumstances Hangman Page can be the guy.

10. Roxanne Perez

Roxanne Perez is the latest incarnation of "how are you this good, this young". The sky's the limit for her. Every time I tune into one of her segments or matches I continue to be thoroughly impressed by how much she has it. That undeniable, irrefutable "it". One day she will be the face of the women's division, possibly women's wrestling in general.
