The Winter 2020 anime season has had a lot of interesting shows that I've tried. The Winter 2020 anime season has had a lot of interesting shows that I've tried. I think it's the most shows I've tried to watch concurrently in the short time that I've been following the seasonal cycle. But with so many shows on my radar at once, and plenty of other things to take up my time, I'm more likely to drop a show that I'm no longer interested in. My first show of the season to hit the chopping block is Asteroid in Love. This show seemed like it would be a good time with cute girls doing cute things. I've been drawn into that formula before, but I suppose it's a good sign that it takes a little more than a couple cute character designs to hold my attention. I couldn't really get myself to care about any of the characters, so in the middle of episode 4, I realized that I didn't really want to watch them running around doing nothing anymore. The show might end up doing something interesting down the line with the main characters' relationship, but as it stands now, there are other things I want to do with my time.
Verdict: characters were too tropey to get invested in and care about what they were doing. Got bored and left. I'm not just cute girl show trash.
