I don't consider this a true Resident Evil game, it is a very good action game. You'll read all these reviews or comments about the game and think it is the worst game ever made but I really enjoyed it. If you can look past how disconnected it is from the rest of the series it is, save the characters, you'll get an insane over the top action game with good set pieces and boss battles. The coop is really fun and brings back good memories of playing RE5 coop. To me if you have fun playing a game and it creates good memories, it's a good game. The only real gripes I have with the game is the outdated button mashing and quick time stuff as well as the ever present 'Capcom knockback'. Getting shot by a sniper and flying to ground and taking 4 seconds to get up will never get old. On top of the campaign there is a handful of other modes. Mercenaries mode returns along with Agent Hunt, letting players invade another as a BOW. Kind of like how Dark Souls invasions work. There are also a number of competitive modes that come packed in to the PS4 version, paid DLC on PS3 standard. There is a good deal of content to encourage replayability.
