Fable II is an example of what an RPG should be in today's market.
The game expertly pulls off the choice between "good" and "evil". The consequences are actually in the game, and mean more this time around than just appearance.
The dog is an excellent addition to the game. While it may not connect with every player, it definitely connected with me. It also helps with finding different items and getting treasure chests. All around the dog helps much more than a mini-map.
Unfortunately, despite this, there are some flaws. There are some bugs in the game, and while Lionhead is working on fixing this, it makes one wonder who tested the game.
Also, there is a lack of items in the game, which is disappointing to players that appreciate finding lots of loot to upgrade their character. Although, this may be a symptom of the short nature of the game. There is not much to do on each side of the "aisle". This is the major problem with the game, because you would think Lionhead had learned the lesson with the original Fable.
Furthermore, the online co-op functions identically to the couch co-op, which is extremely limiting and the camera does not focus on you character either, which makes the co-op extremely frustrating. While a nice addition, it isn't implemented well enough to make the game.
Overall, this game deserves a 9.0 out of 10.
