I really have to give props to Tabula Rasa for trying to do things differently. The less sword-and-sorcery MMOs out there the better in my opinion, which is simply dominated by a certain exclamitive game. Aside from the sci-fi setting, which itself is actually pretty cool, the gameplay is pretty interesting and a nice change of pace from other games of this type. The fact that big proxy battles over control of certain bases take place is really interesting and can sometimes make or break certain missions you are on. Missions themselves often boil down to a lot of the same stuff you find in other RPGs although they are fluffed up in different ways that give them a new life. The community itself is also really open and mostly free of jerks. It still includes many MMO standbys and in many ways can be faulted for certain ones. However, there seemed to be a lot of care and interest placed in most aspects of this game and it really shows. I recommend to any MMOer looking for something at least a little different.
