Dead Space is an amazing new IP from EA. The third person view from the right takes a little getting use to, but once you do, it feels just right. The necromorphs are a legitimately menacing enemy, and there are moments in the game when I was actually scared while fighting them off, or just plain running away from them. The environment is beautiful and creepy, and a picturesque scifi setting. I found the plot to be intriquing, and I was sad when the game ended, because I wanted some more necromorph killing and story telling. The weapons are fun and unique, although the upgrade system is tedious and requires a lot of effort put into it. Overall, Dead Space is a wonderful new IP that is worth the $60 price point.
