Silent Hill: Downpour2012

5 out of 5 stars

It is and I'll tell you why. The story is on par with the best games in the franchise with gruesome and emotional twists. Although to be fair it isn't as shocking or strong as Silent Hill 2 or 4. The characters while believable, have that vague design to them typical of Silent Hill games. There is a cool boss fight also, as well as some interesting and meaningful set-pieces. The graphics are the best to date on a…

A Great Sequel to a Great Game

5 out of 5 stars

Talking about Chaos Rings Omega is impossible without mentioning the previous game - Chaos Rings - on which it is built upon. The gameplay is near identical with the inclusion of two buttons, one that triggers a battle and the other that prevents any random encounter. The only major difference from the previous release is in the story. It starts in familiar ground, and stays there for the first few hours, but then…

Nier2010

3 out of 5 stars

Nier is a hard game to qualify and quantify, because for all its successes it has its pitfalls, and depending of the player, the outcome of the experience might range from marvellous to horrific. The graphics aren't generally worth praising, as they are simplistic and bland, yet coherent with the rest of style and imaginary presented. Although there are some interesting details from time to time, and the game is…

Worth it

4 out of 5 stars

The DLC features 15 new levels, with new and reused assets, 3 new weapons - Fool's Embrace (one-handed weapon), Fool's Lament (two-handed weapon) and Fool's Accord (spear) -, and 2 new sets of clothes for the three main characters (Nier, Kainé and Emil), called Kabuki and Samurai. The expansion is activated by visiting Nier's house and hanging near the bookcase at the entrance. There, the player is transported to…

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories2009

4 out of 5 stars

Silent Hill Shattered Memories is a bold attempt through and through, ditching combat and implementing escape sequences, turning away from cult dealings and focusing on a psychological voyage, letting go of the fog and bringing the ice into town. In that it is a success! A reinvention of the Silent Hill formula and franchise, but is it as good as the best of the series? Graphical wise Silent Hill isn't very…

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed2008

2 out of 5 stars

From the hours i've played the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Sith Edition on the pc, i am far disappointed with the outcome. The story is the same as the previous releases on the ps3, xbox, ds, psp and wii, with slight variations, similar of what happen between the ps3 and xbox version and the wii and ps2. Some scenes appear differently, others are added to complete and add entertainment. The new dlcs are brief and…

Prototype2009

5 out of 5 stars

Prototype arrived ridding a wave of hype, but does it deliver its promises or does instead drown in them? The game tells the story of man, Alex Mercer, awaking in the morgue, with no memories, and a question on his mind: "Who did this to me?" In the meantime, Manhattan is put under quarantine by the regular army and a unknown military outfit, called the Blackwatch Special Forces, due to a misterious virus that…

Silent Hill: 0rigins2007

4 out of 5 stars

As a initial remark i'll review this game based in this characteristics alone, without comparing with the Playstation Portable's version. Now i'll bring it on... The latest game in the series for the Playstation 2 is suprisingly consistent with the rest of the series, and a good adition to the franshise and widely satisfying to players. While its story isn't surprising nor the way it is told, it's engaging and a…
