BioWare has over 30 years of game development under their belt at this point, which outside of a few studios, is a rarity in the modern gaming ecosystem. There are some incredible highs, and arguable lows, within their catalogue, and with them being the grand old man of RPG's in a space now dominated by dozens of game studios directly influenced by their design, scope, and worldbuilding, I argue that BioWare, for any faults they may have, deserve proper respect for what they still can contribute to the gaming space.
This tier list is something on my mind for a while, and is also helping me think out some ideas for games I want to re-experience again for myself. I am probably one of the few to go back and replay the likes of Sonic Chronicles, Shattered Steel, and MDK,2, but even their most unfortunate misfires have a spark to them that, when push come to shove, is undeniable of a development team that has always poured their best into a game, warts and all. As such, I would argue that none of their games are truly in the "bad" category of games, even their weakest titles have value in some way. The tiers are marked by a quick description as to how I feel they rank.
I am sure some of my selections will be considered odd, but I feel that it is both fair and representative for how the games in the end have redeeming qualities to them that offer nuance to game design and intent, versus just being a "bad" game like some claim online. I have also included several expansion games and a few iOS games that BioWare did work on, as they also represent the work (and in some cases, co-development work) that should be credited.
