This is a special list where I list down all my favourite video games of all time- in order. It will be updated regularly since our taste in games will change over the years.
There is one catch however: one game per franchise. So there can only be one Mario game, one Legend of Zelda game, one Donkey Kong game and so on. I will try and put some description on each game when I have the time.

Grim Fandango is a grand masterpiece. My absolute favourite of all video games. It has superb storyline, simple controls, beautiful atmosphere, amazing musical score, terrific voice acting and the right amount of gameplay. I love everything about Grim Fandango and I play it every once a year. It's a work of art. My only wish is for LucasArts to re-release Grim Fandango with better OS compatibility and distribute it through Steam and other platforms. My other wish is to not have a sequel but to turn Grim into a movie using stop-motion animation like The Nightmare Before Christmas. That'd be awesome!
One of the first PC games I ever played back when point-n-click games were the rave. It was also the time when both life and video games were very simple and innocent. There were no blood, no violence, no hatred, no foul languages and no negativity. Just some good ol' fashion storytelling and kid-friendly experience. King's Quest VI is a heartwarming game, a little scary but overall, incredibly appealing from beginning to end. There is no sense of corruption or anger in King's Quest VI, making it so pure and organic and I love for that. I personally hold King's Quest VI close to my heart, for it's my escape from madness.
Ever thought of the first game that ever scared the life out of you? Was it Resident Evil? Was it Silent Hill? Or was it The Clock Tower? For me, it was Prisoner of Ice. It was the first game to ever give me the chills. The thing that makes Prisoner of Ice so creepy is the haunting music and the "prisoner" monsters who would kill you when you least expect it. It took me a while to finish the game because of my scaredyness. One of the things that makes Prisoner of Ice peculiar is when the characters change the subject and say things that have nothing with the topic given. And even though Ice is pretty short, it's not an easy game. It's a point-and-click genre that involves a lot of trial and error and a lot of luck. It certainly makes a lot harder when there's hardly any clues or hints but nevertheless, Prisoner of Ice has a place in my heart.
What can I say? Mario is in our blood. Everyone must have at least one Mario game in their favorite list and Super Mario World is no exception. The thing that makes Super Mario World amazing is the gigantic world map they have where you can take the long way and enjoy every single moment the game has to offer or take the short cut and beat Bowser in record time. Either way, they both provide the same excitement. Many people say Super Mario Bros. 3 is their favorite but for me, it will always be Super Mario World, just like Shigeru Miyamoto.
The best Donkey Kong game ever made, Donkey Kong Country is a pleasure to play because of its gorgeous presentation, solid controls and killer soundtrack. It was unlike anything we had ever seen before and it truly showed us what the Super Nintendo is capable of. There are two other sequels that were made for the Super Nintendo but none can come close to the first Donkey Kong Country game. It is an absolute must play for all Nintendo lovers. No excuse! The greatest beat-em-up you'll ever play, TMNT IV involves the turtles traveling back in time from the stone age to the rock age, battling a horde of Shredder's minions along the way. The playability is so satisfying especially when you have a second player. The music and the colours are amazing and it really keeps the adrenaline running. Nothing gets closer to beating this classic beat-em-up. Not even the lousy remake.
Back then, I was not fond of zombies, ghosts, monsters and horror movies in general. I was a big scaredy cat and refused to see or play any media that has ghosts or monsters in them. That moment changed for me when I bought Resident Evil 2 one day thinking it was a cool action game just by looking at the title. However, little did I know that it was one of the scariest games I had ever played. After playing it for barely an hour, I turned off the game and slept with one eye open. It was my first experience playing a horror game and it really gave me the chills. Thankfully, as the weeks went by, I had grown the courage to finish the game and when I did, I was no longer scared of horror stuff anymore. I guess I owe Resident Evil 2 for making me face my fears and since then, I'm a big fan of scary movies and games.
I don't care what anyone says but MGS2 is a superb game, and also the best Metal Gear game for me. The first one is amazing but the game is tough in general. Snake Eater is mind blowing but the environment is too big and unpleasant to play at times. Guns of the Patriots is superb but it emphasize too much on cutscenes and it put me to sleep because of that. Even though Sons of liberty involves you playing as Raiden in 3/4 of the game, it has a great balance of cutscenes, actions, interactivity and storytelling. I can pop this classic PlayStation 2 game anytime.
A simple game with an everlasting appeal. Jones In The Fast Lane is about life; it's about doing the things you should be doing in real life like getting a job, studying, eating, paying the rent, going to the bank, buying appliances and buying new clothes. It's a complete opposite of what you do in video games nowadays like killing, shooting, decapitating, clobbering and sometimes singing. Jones is a very dear game to me. It's full of innocence, pure and beauty. The digitized characters say the funniest things and do the silliest things, which adds some charm to the game. My only wish is for Jones to be remade or have a successor in the future because everyone needs to play this. They have to be reminded that gaming isn't just about killing and shooting.
Dungeon Keeper 2 is one of the fondest memories I have when it comes to PC games. It was the first RTS game that caught my attention for having interesting visuals and amusing characters. The control is what ruins the experience (most notably the First-Person view) and sometimes, it's confusing to navigate your minions around but if you look upon its positive sides, you'll see why that sometimes- it is good to be bad.
