Overview

Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe is one of the three main divisions of Sony Computer Entertainment, alongside SIE America, and SIE Japan-Asia. While headquartered in and named for Europe, SIEE also covers Sony's business in Australia, Africa, and parts of Asia (including India and the middle east). This arrangement was born out of these countries historical adoption of the European PAL TV standard, and has continued even after HDTV and HDMI has made the distinction less important.
