Fortunate enough to have access to a PS5, I can't wait to see this running. I don't think videos do the transitions justice because Astro's Playroom looked a lot better in person as well.

The variety of first-party games on Xbox is pretty strong, new IP too - not just sequels that'll throw newcomers off.

I didn't take part in the PS3/360 & PS4/XB1 gen but to me most of the first-party stuff Sony puts out feels a lot samey in that they're all of the story-driven, third-person, action-adventure variety.

I'd feel different if they'd at least get Gran Turismo sorted out and perhaps something else...

When I had to make the choice last year as to what platform I wanted to get I kinda felt alienated by the amount of stuff I didn't know that already had sequels attached to them. It's also why I didn't play Gears. Not gonna find the time to play through that slog...

But hey, we no longer have to endure Bethesdaland at E3! I hope future Xbox conferences are more like this one in tone and pacing.

Riders Republic looked like it could be fun, as long as it's going to be supported as well as something like Forza Horizon. I do miss the extreme sports games a little.

It's been a weird end of the year for gaming as a whole, I mean all the big releases were scheduled for November, those got all covered. Consoles launched (with very few games... or rather Demon's Souls is still the only real PS5 exclusive, right?) and no other big releases have hit.

On Xbox Series X... Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, several OG Xbox games I have that are back-compat... checking out Game Pass stuff, there's so much to look at. I'm trying to keep my library uncluttered though. So far it's very comfy! I skipped the last couple generations, so It's cool being able to participate again. The last console gen I experienced while it was relevant was the Dreamcast.
