@av_gamer: I don't think they realistically have the option of not releasing it after how much time and money has been put into it. Shelving this game would probably be tantamount to completely closing the studio.
@sparky_buzzsaw: The FF7 Rebirth release window of "Winter 2023" seems plausible enough that I'll go with that, but I could easily see "Winter 2023" becoming March 2024 or something along those lines.
Hi-Fi Rush is definitely at the top spot for me at the moment. Some other highlights for me are Fire Emblem Engage, Spin Rhythm XD (1.0 Release), and the grip of great remakes/remasters (RE4, Metroid Prime, Like a Dragon: Ishin).
I'm about halfway through both A Space for the Unbound and Paranormasight, and I'm really liking both of them as well.
Haven't they suffered at the hands of Sonic '06 long enough? I don't see any reason to extend that regardless of what improvements or changes a fan remake might make.
I generally liked it. The gameplay is pretty great. The characters and writing are solid enough, but there's just way too much talking overall and it hurts the pacing.
I've played about 40 hours of it so far, and yeah, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. In spite of still having some of the same structural issues as the original, this still feels like a significant improvement. Better world design and writing go a long way, and the additions to the already great combat system help keep it engaging.
Another vote for "None". There is no such thing as an "objective" or "unbiased" review. A review is an inherently subjective thing that reflects the perspective of the reviewer, and it's that unique perspective that actually makes any given review valuable.
Everyone has to make their own moral judgements on these things, but I do think the relative ease of getting a refund on Steam these days makes this particular scenario not feel like a very credible excuse to me.
I like "musking" because it sounds like "busking", which is what you'll be doing after you run a company into the ground and nobody wants to work with you.
