@allthedinos: Yeah, regardless of whether or not it's fair to compare the next Dragon Age to BG3, it absolutely is going to be. They have a real uphill battle ahead of them.
I think I'm almost halfway* through Wonder, and I've been grinning ear-to-ear throughout. This game is just pure joy. The online stuff is very cool, too. I never expected to care so much about random, ghostly strangers in a Mario game. There are times I've lingered around areas to help people out by rezzing them or showing them secrets, and my heart grows an extra size every time someone responds to my emotes.
It is amazing how much just giving/receiving help and then exchanging emotes really heightens what would already be an incredible game.
I'm surprised that we haven't seen anything else from that DQ3 remake, and re-releases of all of the DS remakes of IV, V, and VI seem like they would be easy slam dunks too but that's seemingly never even been hinted towards.
As for XII, I'm very curious to see how that goes especially after the "disappointing" sales of FFXVI. Considering how long it's been since the initial reveal, it wouldn't be surprising to find out that it had gone through several revisions even before having the benefit of gauging the response to FFXVI.
PoE2 and D:OS2 are truly excellent, and PoE and D:OS really felt like the heralds of the CRPG resurgence.
I wish I liked Wrath of the Righteous more. It's a big improvement over Kingmaker, but I just can't manage to completely get past my issues with Pathfinder's systems.
