Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and I, ZombiePie, am once again honored to be your host as we look back at the site and staff-related news and best user-created works from the previous week!
The Giant Bomb team have published an almost HOUR-LONG video chronicling the Giant Bomb roadtrip to The Mysterium panel they did a while back. If you enjoy watching the Giant Bomb staff engage in fun little adventures IRL, catch this on YouTube OR on the site!
Speaking of the site, Chuck published a new Site Update video on YouTube which outlines plans for the site, Chuck's work with authentication, and status on updates for many of the features on the site. When it comes to the wiki, major improvements to the templates and performance have been implemented and Chuck did a re-migration of old wiki pages to the new site to reduce the number of script errors and glitches. Release information on game wiki pages is an upcoming project for him as well as guides. Also, Chuck confirmed everyone's old Wiki points amounts have been preserved even if they are visible right now.
Users can now check out their profile pages by going to giantbomb.com/profile/[insert your username here]. You can also check out author pages over at giantbomb.com/author/[insert name of Giant Bomb staff member]. If you want to try out those author pages, here's a link to Dan's page and a link to mine or Marino's. If you want to catch all of the reviews, lists, articles, and more a staffer or friend of the site has published, check their author page out!
As they reviewed in their video, people are still enjoying the site's The Most Important Video Games in History feature, it marks the first time the site has helped users track information and their gaming libraries in about 18 years. Will this tech be used again? Probably! Chuck is thinking about adding Letterboxd functionality to the site.
Earlier in the week, around the 11th of August, Chuck shipped a bug that affected making user lists and reviews on the site. If that sounds like something that impacted you at some point, the issue should be resolved but if you still cannot access or edit lists or reviews, reach out to Chuck via [email protected] or drop a comment in the "site-tech-issues" section of the Giant Bomb Discord.

If you have been watching the Giant Bomb staff play Big Walk, you know that the staff have taken to calling the red puzzle pieces you need to collect "eggs." I don't think anyone outright disagrees with them, but KOS39 over on bsky decided to have some "fun" with this work of fan art.

Just a friendly reminder that if you notice any missing videos or VODs on the site, whether it be a random missing video in a "classic" Giant Bomb program or a recent livestream that never got posted, drop a comment in the thread linked above and try to be as specific as possible about the feature or stream name and the episode number if it is part of a series.
