Natsume Company Ltd. (commonly referred to as just Natsume) is a Japanese video game developer and publisher based in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Natsume was founded on October 20, 1987. They are most well-known for their family-oriented games, such as the Harvest Moon (Franchise) and Legend of the River King (Franchise) franchises.

History

During the beginning of the company, in the NES and SNES era, Natsume published many action titles, such as Wild Guns (Game) and Shadow of the Ninja (Game). They also released several other popular games, such as Pocky and Rocky and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. Since the end of the SNES era, Natsume has become incredibly well-known for publishing the Harvest Moon franchise.
