The health potion originated in the first edition of Dungeons & Dragons and has since become a popular video game item. The potion appears more commonly in RPGs where it is used to recover health, it often comes in certain strengths such as;
- Mega health potion.
- Elixir.
- Super potion.
In games such as
Diablo series potions play a large part in survival and players often use more than one potion at a time to regenerate their health.
With the increasing use of the Internet and games become more mainstream companies are creating energy drinks advertised as health potions.
