Astro-warrior is a top-down shooter for the Sega Master System that allows you to upgrade your weapons over multiple levels. The game includes varying enemy spaceships and boss battles.
The first game in the Darius series, this game was released by Taito in 1986.
Also known as Salamander, Life Force is a spin-off of the 1985 shoot-'em-up Gradius featuring two-player multiplayer and both side-scrolling and vertical-scrolling stages.
The Earth is now underwater and being attacked by the evil Neptunians! Save all the imprisoned humans with a tricked-out pink submarine.
Silpheed is a 1986 vertically scrolling shoot 'em up featuring 3D flat-shaded polygon graphics. Successive ports featured improved graphics but retained the same core gameplay. The Sega CD version in particular used pre-rendered FMV as backgrounds.
