    Game » consists of 21 releases. Released October 1979

    Battle space aliens and avoid their suicidal attacks to survive in the world of Galaxian, Namco's first installment in the Galaxian franchise. It was a technical breakthrough in 1979, featuring RGB color, multi-colored sprites, a tilemap playfield, vertical scrolling background, and enemies with individual AI routines.

    I personally love both these games, and have fond memories of playing Galaga on an arcade machine in a laundry mat, recently I have played the GBA version of Galaxian, and the arcade one, and I can't decide which I like better. They are very similar games, but I feel like Galaxian is a bit more tactile, then again Galaga has the twin figthers! 
     
    So which is your favorite?

    Not sure which one i prefer more, but if it's any indication, a few months back i had a huge Galaxian period where i wanted to see how far i'd manage to score. After about 4-5 hours i seemed to top at 22k. But yea, Galaxian and Galaga are both pretty great games and i guess i'd say i'm feeling Galaxian a bit more if i had to make the choice.

    @L33tfella_H: That's probably how I'd go, I played it recently and there was a formation of three ships coming down and I busted all three in quick succession.

    True, after all, nothing is more frusterating than getting your twin ship on Galaga and getting it destroyed the secon after! ARRG!
