Meh. I don't think she's missing out. If you have never dealt with Nintendo save yourself the frustration of their constant nickel and diming you for peripherals and content. And don't forget the constant new versions of systems coming out. If you buy a switch now a new updated version will come out in a few months with better specs and peripherals and cheaper. Stay away from Nintendo at all costs. I will probably have to get a switch because my 2 kids love Nintendo and don't care about the above problems. But man I wish I hadn't introduced them to it. I grew up with Nintendo and never knew about these cheesy gimmicks that they had. Now as an adult I find nintendos business practices to be sleazy and abhorrent.

That being said they have quality games but maybe only 6 or 7 per generation. So buyer beware.

@chizzle10: it ruined online gaming for me.

I like getting platinum trophies in single player games however. I play zero online games except on mobile.

Easily horizon zero dawn. I was super hyped so when I played the first 10 hours I sorta liked it. Then it just became a drag. It is a monotonous snore fest. I heard you should stick it out for the story but I didn't find the story all that compelling and I really didn't like aloy as a character.

2nd worst was botw. Also super hyped a completely let down by bad mechanics and unitnterestong story.

I think destiny is an mmo in every aspect of the genre. The only difference that it has is in the shooting and itself. But it is structurally built just like every mmo I have played. It really reminds me of wow except for the shooter aspects.

@zevvion: that is the main issue with most mmos is that there is no reason to play once you have cleared the content.

This is a great write up and clearly states why I will never play destiny again. All of these problems are real and imo they are purposefully put there by the devs to make their jobs easier. In fact the majority of people playing destiny 2 have so many issues with the game it makes me wonder why they continue to log in.

I wouldn't consider mass effect or persona dating sims. I have tried a few actual sims of dating and the best is THE SIMS 2. Just my opinion. I personally don't really care for the genre.

I wear pretty much exclusively gaming related t shirts outside of work. I have to wear a suit every day to work so I think I'm allowed to express myself outside of work. I am the only one if my work mates who dresses like that outside of work. Outside of work they wear polos and khakis, or patterned button downs with shorts or jeans. I have all that stuff but it just sits in my closet. If someone takes issue (and they do) with my attire outside of work they can tell me. They never do. If it's a party or event that's announced as dressy casual I'll pull out a patterned button down and khakis with desert boots or loafers.

In response to your question I probably own 10 or so video game shirts, some pajamas that are gaming themed and socks/hats.
