The type of open world I would want from halo would never happen. Open world games are far too gamey and structured these days.

@scott-r: Found this out when I used the app to listen to the pathfinder stuff from way back when. Nice to have because on my old phone/Android/etc I always got the error message video trying to play older content.

I also ran into that issue and found I had to restart my phone to get it to stream on cellular, as I don’t have WiFi and rely on unlimited. Just glad I got it figured out!

Do you have any plans to improve the view of the shows? The different selections are so big, it would be nice to have a more compact list.

There just isn’t enough to go on. At the reveal last year they showed potential for some interesting story telling when you were walking around in the city, but it wasn’t much to go on. This seemed like just more of the combat footage we saw in the reveal.

I’m curious, but not sold yet. But I’m not writing it off yet either. Just too hard to tell what to expect at this point.

@danishingact: True but it just got you stuff early or got you xp boosts, which is fine. They also didn’t require keys or anything and you got a lot of them if you played frequently/well. That system was fine.

It’s cosmetics, not loot, not gameplay. I could give a shit about cosmetics and actually kinda like that system for those.

We also don’t know if you’ll need “keys” or what have you for them yet. If it’s just random cosmetics, and that’s how they monetize, who cares? Considering how dumb that stuff looks anyway I’ll probably stick to vanilla stuff anyway. I just want the gameplay progression to be more like BF3/4 and I’ll be happy.

@tothenines: People feel like the companies they interact with need to cater to them directly and don’t realize how that could harm others or how it could harm them if said others were the ones Steam ended up catering to. It often seems that people in favor of locking down things are the very people who should from experience understand why that openness should be valued, not feared. It’s the danger of allowing shitty behavior to push you to fear as you start to find mainstream acceptance rather than to embrace the new found freedom and hold onto it.

Whether it’s the LGBT community when Steam cracks down on queer sexual content or it’s the Christian community when Amazon decides to call Jesus a fictional character: pushing your morals on others beyond a basic “don’t kill and maim people” is dangerous. Freedom to express views that can be seen as dangerous or offensive is incredibly important despite the (sometimes, to some people) unpleasant side effects is incredibly important and without people pushing against such limitations a lot of incredibly important civil rights movements would have been dead in the water.

It’s especially frustrating when the majority of serious opposing arguments mention “the alt right” when those folks aren’t the ones impacted by Steam’s decisions generally. The even conservatives aren’t the ones making horny anime games or horny queer games.

Steams stance that they don’t have a right to dictate nuanced moral issues on their audience/market is good. Freedom is good. It is far more valuable than perceived safety for a select group. It’s just sad when that group used to be the ones who had to fight for that freedom.

It’s aprobably a Windows thing that happens occasionally. Try changing your resolution then changing it back and restart explorer or your computer. If that doesn’t work do the font dpi wizard thing.

Looks like it was just a few months, I wonder if it was partially a timing decision. Which may not be a great sign of confidence from MS. Still holding out hope that the game will be good but this doesn’t look good after everything leading up to the game.
