This isn't personally my cup of tea, but I am glad games like this exist and wish there were more of them.

Already not interested after hearing they split up the ships by race..... like no, that's so dumb and just nails in the fact Bioware suck at story telling.

As worried as I am about the story in this one - I think this actually makes sense in the context of the series and just in general. I mean, the Turians can't even eat the same food as everyone else, so you'd obviously want them on a different ship.

Plus, if you could so this sort of thing in real life, you'd probably want different cultures mostly on different ships so that each ship shares a common culture, language, command structure, etc.

I dunno, I think it makes sense. Honestly, I'd be more worried about Mac Walters being involved than this.

Some initial thoughts:

1. Man, that AI voice at the beginning is obnoxious.

2. I'm worried about hearing the idea of Inquisition being the "blueprint" for gameplay. I thought that game was really uninspired. Well made, but wholly boring. Particularly when Brad says that it's possible to grind out all the skills. That means a lot of content. Which based on BioWare's recent model, is probably going to be a lot of boring fetch-y stuff.

3. I agree with Jeff that the character models look bad.

4. A little worried about the story at this point. I think a Mass Effect version of the Star Trek "five-year mission" thing could be really, really cool. But all this talk of it being set up as "Wait, what if we're the bad guys?" seems like the least interesting way of handling that story. It's the kind of idea that a high-schooler would come up with while saying "That's like, deep, man" when it's actually really, really not.

5. Auto-dialogue quest acceptance . . . uuuuuugggggggghhhhhhh. One of the worst part of ME3. Why did they bring that forward of all things?

5. On a more positive note, the combat does look good. Maybe they finally figured out how to do third person action in a way that isn't an endless string of future corridors.

It's not Samurai Souls. Claiming it's Dark Souls is for people who haven't played it and are talking about it entirely from screenshots. It's just a really superficial way of looking at it. It's far closer to Diablo than it is to Dark Souls in terms of gameplay.

And saying its a 20 hour game is ridiculous. You are either exceptionally, exceptionally skilled, or you have skipped the entirety of the side content if you finish in that amount of time. I'm barely into the third area and I'm already at 20 hours.

@aethelred: "Death to all jews" is antisemitic even with the context. By definition.

Saying it was just a joke or "Oh but it was in response to this particular thing" does not exclude that.

Wolfenstein has swastikas and Nazis in it. Is the game antisemitic? Or is the context important?

I think in this case the context is irrelevant. For all the hubub about the actual comments, this issue is ultimately is about someone pissing off their sponsors and paying the price for it. You work for someone else, you play by their rules if you want to keep getting paid. The instant he signed up with Disney (Disney!) he placed limitations on himself about the kinds of things he could say and do on his channel. If he didn't realize that, that's on him.

He's a moron for no other reason that he thought he could collect a paychecks from Disney and Google and then put up that kind of content without consequence. Regardless of how he might have intended it, it's certainly reasonably foreseeable that a lot of people are going to take it the wrong way. It's also reasonably foreseeable that his sponsors aren't exactly going to dig deep into his intended meaning or not. If what he said generates a bad look for them, they're going to run as far away as possible as fast as possible.

Video lengh implies this may not be the run, wish they could just hide it somehow.

Not true, a Google search says the world record is 9:53. So maybe they did three runs.

They didn't even do one run.

That Coleman branded tent has made me reconsider buying any (new) SE titles ever again.

But you could pay for them with your American Express card! Which apparently exist in a universe without an America. Because video games.

So, you can't search for levels.

You can't favorite levels.

You can't upload 3DS levels.

Can't star levels.

Levels don't have records or stats.

. . . I'm going to imagine that the backstory of this game is that Wario has taken over Nintendo and is putting out crap games to besmirch Mario's good name.
