And to think, a month ago people were screaming that Dan shouldn't be allowed in the GBEast building. That said, that's really cool and I'm glad to see the move permanent.

...but does that mean Alex will be subjected to a Mario Party Party?

I strongly suspect there will be a small subset of people who are going to whine about this like crazy unfortunately.

Don't worry, those posts will likely disappear

What about The Village?

I feel like the ending of the Village was done well enough, it's just that the build up to it is so horrendous that by the time you get to it, you don't care (and you probably guessed the twist half a movie back).

I haven't seen it in a while, though.

He didn't.

@bernard_bernoulli: The Guy From Hannibal also did a lot of work on Voyager. Considering how polarizing that show seems to be for some people, this news should either excite or repel you.

I'm definitely watching it. I've been getting together with my dad lately to go back and give Enterprise a second chance and we've been really surprised how good that show is. I could definitely go for some new Star Trek.

Voyager was pretty bad, for the most part. It had a few good episodes (out of like 170). Mostly the problem with Voyager was that very few of its characters ever got used, and most episodes are just anomaly-of-the-week episodes where the crew technobabble their way out of some black hole or spacial anomaly, or Neelix episodes.

Enterprise was pretty bad until the last season, which actually started to get pretty good, until the ending.

Anyway, yeah, Bryan Fuller doesn't excite me too much (Hannibal is shot well, and that's kinda it), but if it looks good, I'll check it out.

I picked "other" because we know literally nothing about the show except that it's directed by the guy who did Hannibal. I'm a huge Star Trek geek, but I usually don't watch stuff just because it's got the same name as something I like. If it looks good, I'll watch it. If it doesn't, I won't.

1. If you were loud as fuck and were disturbing your neighbors, would you want to know?

2. If you had to be notified of how loud you were being, how would you like your neighbors to tell you?

This isn't a situation that can be easily remedied, but with communication skills you might make it slightly more tolerable. You could also enlist the aid of neighbors who feel the same way you do. It's good to have more than one source.

The GB video player is 80% why I don't subscribe. The rest is for community management reasons, which are troubling and off-putting to new viewers.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is pretty much proto-cyberpunk. As is a lot of stuff by Harlan Ellison

Book: Is Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said cyberpunk? If someone's already seen Blade Runner I'd recommend reading it (& also doubling back on Electric Sheep if you want).

Anime: Bubblegum Crisis (definitely cyberpunk), Paprika (not sure if cyberpunk).

Boardgame: The Omega Virus

Albums: Hissing Prigs in Static Couture by Braniac, Severe Exposure by Six Finger Satellite, Entertainment Program for Humans by Servotron

Game: I feel pretty cyberpunk when I play M.U.L.E. for NES but I don't know if that counts.

Seeing that Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said is by Philip K. Dick... probably.

A lot of proto-cyberpunk doesn't necessarily feature cyberspace, but does have an emphasis on technology and a somewhat punky, lived-in, jargon-filled future world. Dick and Ellison were pioneers in that field.
