Square hasn't used the term "episodic." No use in speculating on what an "episode" of FFVII means when they haven't used that term
Also it's strange to hear people who love turn-based combat and in fact say FFIV is the best Final Fantasy say "Oh, great, Square is changing up the combat and making it more like FFXV."
These guys were also very meh about FFXV when they played it and don't care about Kingdom Hearts, so why pat Square on the back? There's a very strange cognitive dissonance going on about the Remake
Taco Bell is trash. I keep imagining Dan saying the same stuff he says about Taco Bell, but about smoking. "Smoking is great! It's a great way to unwind! Marlboros are super tasty!"
The only difference between smoking and Taco Bell is that it hasn't been proven that Taco Bell gives you cancer... yet.
Therefore they don't send anything early to Kotaku. And they don't comment on the situation because that's a bad practice to get into when you're running a business. You can't comment on every little thing, especially when it relates to a news outlet who is just going to run all of those emails and press releases as news.
4 stars? I guess that's okay, since I don't think Jeff was a huge fan of Fallout 3, either.
I feel like Bethesda learned lessons from Skyrim and applied them to Fallout 4. 4 is a better game than Skyrim and Fallout 3 combined, both in storytelling and gameplay. The glitches, while annoying, aren't really a problem for me (on PC), and are understandable in the context of a game this large and complex.
Also I think the crafting is cool (it's kinda strange to dismiss a deep part of the game with "Well, I don't care about that." Any of the crafting? Even the weapon mods? Really?), and I think Nick is boring. And his pipe pistol is dumb. Preston Garvey for life.
I'm glad Jeff's come around on THPS4. That game has some annoying missions, but it completes the gameplay by adding the flat ground stuff and is just as fun if not more fun as 3.
